Fair, simple, and honest.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Sageful, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Sageful.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Sageful. If you're using Sageful on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The service

Sageful ("the Service") is an integration hub that pulls data from third-party services you connect (Google Calendar, Gmail, etc.) and assembles it into a single dashboard. The Service is operated by Brian LeSage as a sole proprietorship and is currently in beta.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for the security of your account and password.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must provide accurate, complete information when signing up.
• You must use a valid email address you control.
• You must not share your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use Sageful for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (beyond what's already public on GitHub).
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from Sageful.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or anything that could harm the service or other users.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use Sageful to send spam or unsolicited communication.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission.
• Use the Service in any way that violates the terms of any connected third-party service (e.g., Google's API Services User Data Policy).

5. Third-party services

Sageful integrates with third-party services like Google Calendar, Gmail, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Sageful is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of any third-party service.

You authorize Sageful to access and use data from connected services solely as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this access at any time from your account settings or directly from the third-party service.

6. AI features

Sageful includes an AI assistant powered by Anthropic's Claude. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You should not rely solely on AI output for important decisions. Always verify critical information.

AI responses are not guaranteed. We don't take responsibility for actions you take based on AI suggestions.

7. Beta service — no warranty

SAGEFUL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• The Service will meet your specific requirements.
• Any errors will be corrected.
• Data will not be lost.
• The Service will be available indefinitely.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SAGEFUL OR BRIAN LESAGE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Sageful is currently free to use during beta. If we begin charging in the future, this clause will apply to amounts you have paid.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sageful and Brian LeSage from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may add, remove, or change features. We may change pricing if and when we begin charging.

For material changes that affect your use of the Service, we'll try to give reasonable notice via email or in-app notification.

11. Termination

You may stop using Sageful at any time. You may delete your account by emailing hello@sageful.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will try to give notice before termination unless the violation requires immediate action.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

12. Intellectual property

The Sageful name, logo, branding, and visual design are owned by Brian LeSage. The source code is open source and available on GitHub. You may not use Sageful's name or logo without permission.

You retain full ownership of all data and content you provide to or create through Sageful.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cherokee County, Georgia.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Sageful after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
