Built by someone in the middle of the same thing.
Not a coach who studied transition from the outside. Someone who was in one.
01 Where I started
Triage was the first job.
I spent years as a paramedic. Too much information, not enough time, and someone's life in the middle of it. You learn to cut the noise, find what matters, and move.
Then I spent years developing leaders inside a large health system while it restructured. I watched good people learn their roles were going away, often for reasons that had almost nothing to do with how well they did the work.
02 Then it was my turn
July.
This summer my own role was eliminated.
Watching it happen to others didn't make my first morning easier. The hard part isn't the severance math. It's the silence where a title used to be.
I went looking for help and found job boards and platitudes. Nothing helped me work out who am I now, and what do I want this next part to be. So I built it, the first version in four days, and I am not a developer.
03 What I learned the hard way
Find your Bri.
Before there was any proof this would work, I told one person. Bri. She didn't ask "are you sure?" She said okay, when do you start?
If you are going through something hard, find one person who believes you before there is evidence. Someone who cheers and critiques, in the right ratio, on the right day.
04 The name
Why "Sageful."
Sage. The colour, the herb, and the older voice who has seen this problem before and is not panicking about it. Sageful means full of that.
I didn't build this because I had it figured out. I built it because I didn't.
